Skylanders Lightning Rod is a storm giant. Unlike many of the skylanders who were not very liked before joining the ranks of those fighting evil; Lightning Rod was a very charismatic and well liked giant.
He was considered a hero and had a palace full of statues that told of his heroism. However he grew tired and bored, which turns out to be lucky for Skylanders but bad for his enemies. The tide turned when he ran into Spyro.
Spyro told Lightning Rod of the adventures and far off places he had visited. Rod could not take it, he had to join the Skylanders and the rest is history.

This is one of the largest Skylanders and very imposing. However he does not excel at anything but is probably one of the most well balanced across all the characteristics.
Defensive Power : 60
As a well rounded Skylander he has a decent defensive power which is above average.
Strength : 65
His strength may seem low considering this one looks like a huge body builder, he is still above average.
Luck : 65
He is very lucky and that definitely helps when you are shooting lightning bolts around.
Agility : 60
Considering this is one large dude who throws lightning around his agility is quite high.
